Winter Blues, growing brighter... with each day

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It’s nice to see the sun shining earlier in the morning and later in the day. I like walking to my car in the morning and having it not be completely dark outside. Now, most nights, I’m able to watch the sunset’s beautiful colors on my drive home.

By February, I am done with the snow and cold! I know I am getting older, but I can’t remember a time when we have had such frigid temperatures in the morning and had to have so many indoor recesses.

However, I know spring is coming, and it’s not because the days are getting longer. Every time I see my golf clubs in my garage, I want to go hit a bucket. Another helpful hint is that next week I have a dinner meeting with the Oak Hill Golf Course Ladies Twilite League. Also, my niece just sent me information regarding her June wedding.

The “groundhog” told us earlier this week that we still have another 6 weeks of winter, and reality hits every time I look out my window. But I can dream about warmer days and hitting the course. I hear that this weekend will see the temperatures climbing into the twenties!

Have a nice weekend! It’s going to be a great one. Be sure to take in the brighter hues of sunset!
