Dear Parents and Guardians,

Do you know a family with a child or children between the ages of birth to five who is a resident of the Newfound Area School District?  If so, the family is eligible to participate in two FREE programs.

This parenting program provides parents with age-appropriate targets, trainings, and tools to encourage pre-kindergarten activities in the home. The program runs for three nights (Oct. 23rd, Feb. 12th and May 7th) and babysitting is available.  Parents are divided into age-level (birth-one; one-year-olds; two-year olds, etc.) groups and our trained staff will facilitate discussions around growth and development, parenting strategies and explore fun activities to do at home.  Parents will leave each evening with resources and toys.

The classes are held at the Newfound Regional High School.  Please contact Valerie Kehoe at 744-6969 to register your family.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a 60 volume set of books, beginning with the children’s classic The Little Engine That Could.  Each month a new, carefully selected book will be mailed in your child’s name directly to your home.  Best of all, it is a FREE GIFT!  There is no cost or obligation to your family.  Preschool children, ages birth to five, who are residents of NASD, are eligible to participate.  Parents must fill out a registration form which can be picked up at any of the elementary schools or at the SAU office.  Then return the filled out registration form to the elementary school.  Children will start to receive these monthly books within eight to ten weeks after your registration form has been received.  These books will arrive at your home and will continue until your child turns five or you move out of the Newfound Area School District.

Please help us spread the word to friends, families and community members of these incredible opportunities.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to give me a call or email.

Have a great, long weekend!
