Dear Parents/Guardians,

I can’t believe it is already time for Thanksgiving!  As I reflect on this last year, I continue to have many blessings and reasons to be thankful.  So please sit back and take a few minutes to read my list and then read the thoughts of some of our students and staff.  I hope your family has a fantastic Thanksgiving break and this writing provides you with the inspiration to share with your family and friends your list.

 I am grateful for an amazing family.  I am blessed to continue to have both of my parents supporting, loving and sharing
their words of wisdom to guide me through the good and bad times.  I enjoy the friendships with my siblings and know
that I can reach out to them for anything. The five of them always have my back and for that I give thanks!

 I am grateful for my cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren.  It is through their eyes and conversations that I continue
to grow as a person, laugh until my belly hurts and feel the unconditional love from others.

 I am thankful for my friends.  They listen to my worries, frustrations and dreams without judgement.  They have honest conversations and take the time out of their busy schedules to grab a cup of coffee, go out to dinner or just talk on the phone.

 I am grateful for my many blessings such as my freedom, wonderful home, a job I enjoy, and my health.

 I am thankful for the amazing professionals and colleagues at both of my schools.  Their dedication, commitment, passion and collaboration make our schools great.  I am grateful for their willingness to teach and understand the “whole child” and for the countless hours of their planning and preparation outside of our school day.  Thanks for pushing and
challenging me, as I have become a better principal through those conversations.
