Christmas Traditions

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week, I have gathered with friends to celebrate working together and the upcoming holiday season. It has been nice to get to see one another outside of school! During our conversations, we talk and share about our families and different life experiences. You learn more about one another and get to sample some amazing food. The best part of the evening is the laughter and smiles on everyone’s faces. Some of our students are involved with the “Elf on the Shelf” at home. It is fun to listen to them share how the elf has gotten into mischief around the house.

I am looking forward to spending time with my family and friends during the upcoming holidays. Although I have a lot to still accomplish before Christmas Eve, I am counting down the days! I am fortunate to be able to join my sister, her family and my parents for both Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. On 12/28, our entire family will come together at my parents’ for our annual Holloran Christmas. What are your family traditions? What are the special foods that are shared around your kitchen tables? Do you or other relatives wear those “ugly” Christmas sweaters? No matter what you do, I hope it brings you joy, happiness and laughter!

AS A SCHOOL COMMUNITY, WE WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY TO OUR FIRST EVER HOLIDAY SNACK AND COMMUNITY SING A-LONG ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 23rd. IT WILL BE HELD IN THE DINING HALL ON THE CAMPUS OF THE NEW HAMPTON SCHOOL. PLEASE PARK NEAR THE ICE RINK. WE WILL GATHER FOR SOCIALIZATION AND SNACKS AT 9:30 A.M. AND START OUR SING A-LONG AROUND 10:15 A.M. PLEASE JOIN US.

I hope to see many of you on Monday or Tuesday, but just in case I don’t, please have a safe vacation and Happy New Year!
