Project Promise

Project Promise at New Hampton Community School is a fun, educational after school program offered to elementary aged students. Each afternoon, participants are engaged in activities that promote teamwork, cooperative learning, and self-growth. The staff at NHCS Project Promise provide a safe and secure environment where students are able to explore ideas and interests. Academic learning, physical and nutritional health, and global awareness are focus areas and key components when planning activities for students.

Academic support and enrichment are important aspects of our daily homework club.  Students discover that they are readers, writers, scientists, and mathematicians.  Clubs are another platform for students to discover and explore interests.  Some of our weekly clubs include: Pottery,, Video Game Design, Cooking, Kickball, and Arts and Crafts.  Clubs are planned and developed from student voice and choices, and run during a six to eight week period.

NHCS After School Staff:

At NHCS Project Promise, we are extremely lucky to have such a qualified and dedicated staff working with the students that attend our program.  Most after school staff work at NHCS during the regular school day and extend and share their talents and expertise one or more days in the after school program.
