Permission forms for our upcoming trip to the New Hampton School were due today.  If you have not yet signed and returned the forms, please do so on Monday, December 12.  If you did not receive last week’s issue of Writing Corner, outlining the activities to take place on December  22-23, along with the permission form that was attached, please contact the office (744-3221).

All students will be traveling to the Newfound Regional High School on January 7 in order to rehearse for that evening’s Winter Concert.  Those permission forms are due back on Friday, December 19.

If you have not been receiving the automated calls for delayed openings/early dismissals, please give us a call so that we can make sure we have the correct numbers where you can be reached.  The Superintendent’s Office asks that these matters be taken care of at the individual schools.

We remind parents that students need to come to school, dressed for the wintry weather. Warm jackets, snow pants, hats, gloves/mittens, and boots must be worn.  Because we end up with so many items in the lost and found, it would be helpful if you would put your child’s name on the items of clothing so that they may be returned to your child.

During the months of November and December, many of the children and adults have commented on the attractively-decorated birthday bulletin board that’s in our front hallway. The Foster Family was responsible for creating this beautiful work for both months.  As all the students know, each month we change the bulletin board to show the names of those who will be celebrating birthdays during that particular month. We would love to have volunteers choose a month (or two) to update the bulletin board.  We have plenty of paper and trim on hand.  Perhaps you’d like to choose the month in which your child has his/her birthday.  If you’re interested, please give the office a call (744-3221).  And thank you, again, to the Foster Family.

Throughout the school year, we will be “Capturing CARES” and recognizing students who have been caught modeling our mission statement, “NHCS CARES” (Character, Achievement, Responsibility, Excellence, Spirit).

During Wednesday’s lunch time, the following students were recognized:

McGowan Willey - Character, Achievement, Responsibility, Excellence, Spirit
