Important Message from Project Promise:

...that next year will be the final year of the Project Promise After School grant for the New Hampton Community School?  What does this mean?  We need to start planning for the next grant so we can continue to have the after school program at NHCS. Please join a discussion group on Tuesday, May 5th at 5:15 pm right before the PTO Taco Night.  If you would like more information, please contact Mrs. Doucette, Miss Holloran, or Mrs. Fabricant.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon.  During school hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (5/4-6), students will have an opportunity to purchase books.   The Fair will also be open during the Appreciation Dinner/Taco Night on Tuesday, May 5.

Flyers are going home with the students, announcing the good news that the Newfound Area School District will be offering full day kindergarten, starting with the 2015/16 school year.  In order for planning to take place, we ask that parents of eligible children either call or come by our office to register their children prior to Friday, April 17. Kindergarten Connection will be taking place on Wednesday, May 13, and those parents who have registered their children will be receiving packets from us in April. Please pass this information on to any parents you may know of who have children who will be eligible to enter kindergarten this upcoming year.

Mrs. Plante-Renaud, our art teacher, is looking for large, empty coffee creamer containers with the snap tops.  She will be needing these for a special project with the students.  Also, if you have any over-sized t-shirts that the students could use as smocks during their art classes, please send them our way.

Throughout the school year, we will be “Capturing CARES” and recognizing students who have been caught modeling our mission statement, “NHCS CARES” (Character, Achievement, Responsibility, Excellence, Spirit).  During Wednesday’s lunch time, the following students were recognized:

Rylee Barney - Achievement & Responsibility

Tynan Beauchemin - Achievement & Responsibility

Sarah Buchanan - Character

Lillian Dow - Achievement

Mason Kesselring - Achievement
